Here at the Bridge Orlando we take seriously the great commission.

Jesus said to go in to all the world preaching and teaching and making disciples.

Each year we endeavor to take several short term missions trip to a variety of places.

These trips are designed to transform the traveler and support the long term missionary through help and assistance.

I like to refer to the these kind of trips as “encounter trips” because the traveler is changed through the experience.

We at the Bridge Orlando encourage every person to take a trip some time and give of themselves to support of missionary endeavors throughout the globe and among the nations.

We also support full time missionaries and those engaged in fulltime Christian service.  From the very inception of the Bridge Orlando we have given regularly into the area of missions and church planting.  During the 2006, 2007,2008,2009 years the Bridge Orlando supported the planting of over 53 new churches in central Florida , in the USA and into the nations.  These churches are all doing well and growing and we look forward to the planting of other congregations in the future.  The Bridge Orlando also is making planes to launch additional Bridge Orlando churches in the greater Orlando area.

If you would like to give an offering in support of a missions trip or give to missionary development or If you are interested in taking a mission/encounter trip with us please contact our Missions Director, Larry Chambless.

Michael and Elisa French are the founders of Pavilion Village Children’s Home in Karatina, Kenya.  Home to 24 orphaned children, Pavilion is situated on 5 acres of fertile farmland at the foothills of Mt. Kenya.  Thanks to the efforts of Michael and Elisa, Pavilions dedicated board members and their many partners, Pavilion Village is alive with the voices and laughter of children who are filled with joy.  Once abused, neglected and abandoned, these children now believe that they have hope and a future.  Michael and Elisa also pastor The Bridge Birmingham, a church in Alabama which they planted in 1998.  Michael serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Bridge Churches and is the director of Streams Training Center: Cahaba.  He and Elisa have travelled around the world (including Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sweden, Norway, Switzerland, England, Scotland, Russia, Ukraine, Canada and Honduras) to train and equip leaders and to minister to the hurt and needy.   They have four children of their own:  Joshua, Caleb, Jacob and Noah.
